MGRC’s Community Outreach initiative was conceived from our belief that the success of our achievements and growth should be shared with Malaysian society. Through this initiative, our employees work together to find creative ways to give back to the community. We hope that the effort and time given will somehow bring joy and relief to those who are less fortunate.

Employees are encouraged to participate in visits to charity homes especially during the festive seasons. Among the places that we have had the privilege of visiting are:

• Stepping Stones Living Centre
• Tong Sim Senior Citizen’s Care Centre
• Persatuan Rumah Warga Emas Klang
• Al-Ikhlas Old Folks Home
• Kajang Caring Old Folks Home
• WAKE Shelter Home
• Rumah Amal Kasih Bestari
• Rumah Soleha
• Rumah Baitul Hidayah

We also assist the PERTIWI Soup Kitchen four nights a week to distribute food and provide basic medical service to the homeless and urban poor in Kuala Lumpur.

As part of our efforts to help preserve the environment, we have been participating in a seedling planting programme in collaboration with the Free Tree Society. This initiative is aimed at educating the community on the importance of trees. We hope that by planting seeds to grow trees, shrubs and herbs, there will be more awareness on how a greener suburban landscape can lead to a better-preserved environment.
