MGRC uses SynaSuite applications created by Synamatix, a pioneer bioinformatics technology developer. These applications have been specially adapted for online use in the form of SynaSITE, Synamatix's new ASP product-offering. The company was chosen as MGRC's key software partner because of the extensibility of SynaSuite and the analytical performance and storage efficiencies of the SynaBASE database platform.

The integrated suite of applications available at MGRC are built on the SynaBASE database platform, a novel structured network database which efficiently stores genetic data based on patterns and their inter-relationships. Through utilising this novel pattern-based approach in storing data, limitations in analysis speeds and scalability commonly associated with flat files and relational database platforms are overcome.

Results are returned in milliseconds and minutes, as opposed to hours or days when compared to applications built on conventional database platforms.
