Naegleria Genome Sheds Light on Transition from Prokaryotes to Eukaryotes
Scientists have sequenced the genome of a single-celled organism called Naegleria gruberi, a common soil amoeba. This discovery sheds some light on the evolutionary road from bacteria to humans, and further explains the transition from prokaryotes to eukaryotes.
