We take pride in consistently delivering innovative services to our clients, and initiating and undertaking significant community based programmes as part of our efforts to further strengthen our bond with the Malaysian public.
Education and AwarenessWe are deeply committed to enhancing the research capabilities of the Malaysian biotechnology community and raising awareness of the important role of genomics and bioinformatics in modern life science exploration.
MGRC's Education and Awareness programme comprises the following activities:
- Introductory and Advanced Bioinformatics Workshops
Participants for Introductory Workshops, often from universities or research institutes, are taught the underlying fundamentals and principles of genomics and bioinformatics. In Advanced Workshops participants are guided on how bioinformatics can be applied in their research domains or commercial projects.

Our Wet Lab Training Programme gives secondary school students the opportunity to conduct DNA experiments as a means of grasping the concepts of molecular biology and bioinformatics.

MGRC's ESS is a series of lectures where prominent experts from around the world are invited to highlight and present the latest research and technologies in their respective fields within genomics to the Malaysian biotechnology community.

Genomania is an online Forum that enables registered users to interact with each other on topics related to current trends in bioinformatics. Other interesting features of Genomania include Ask MGRC, Links to relevant websites, Videos on bioinformatics and genomics techniques, and Job Listings.
Community OutreachWe strongly believe that our commercial success is not ours alone and that it should be shared among the Malaysian community. Our Community Outreach initiative is a concerted and on-going effort to give a little something back to the community, and make a small difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
